How to use Diprobase
Please fully read the enclosed leaflet before applying a Diprobase product.
Whether you opt to use the cream or the ointment is down to personal preference. You may find the cream is easier to rub in and is absorbed quicker, and can be spread over a larger area. However, while the ointment is greasier to the touch, it stays on the skin for longer and may therefore be slightly more effective for smaller or drier areas of skin
The products are intended for regular daily use and should be applied twice daily to the affected areas. As well as being effective as emollients in their own right, they can also be used to dilute topically applied steroids, or to space out courses of such steroids.
Start a GP Consultation, choose treatment or let the Doctor decide what’s most suitable in your case.
Is Diprobase suitable for me?
There are certain situations where Diprobase should be used with caution or not recommended at all. For example, patients who are allergic to any of the ingredients may find they’re advised against this treatment.
Tell the online doctor if you are taking any other medicines during your consultation, including any other creams or eczema treatments. Inform them of any other treatment you’re undergoing, whether purchased from a pharmacy or prescribed by your doctor.
Tell your doctor if the treatment is not effective, as an alternative may be advised.
Please be mindful to give a full picture of your general health in the consultation, to make sure the doctor has all the information required to assess the suitability of Diprobase for you.
What are the side effects of Diprobase?
Diprobase can cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them.
Uncommon side effects can include itching, skin rashes, a burning sensation, or pain. If you experience any of these, you should stop using Diprobase cream or ointment and talk to your doctor.
